PBA-WBT #4 9th Kingdom International Open
Two advances to final round

6th December, Riyadh: Hong Kong's Rickle Kam and Day 2 High Series Award winner, Eric Tseng both advanced to the Final Round of the PBA-WBT #4 9th Kingdom International Open after finishing third and 11th position respectively.

Kam, who was second at the halfway mark of of the eight-game semi-final round, ended the round in third with 1774. Asian Champion and ex-Singapore head coach making a come back, Remy Ong won the round with 1889.

2014 Incheon Asian Games Singles gold medalist, Yannaphon Larpapharat of Thailand finidhed second with 1807 while Kam rounded out the top three with 1774. 2015 Sinai Open and debutant, Frederik Ohrgaard of Denmark took fourth position with 1762.

51st QubicaAMF World Cup first runner-up, Francois Louw of South Africa, completed the top five with 1737. Early pace-setter, Mohammed Janahi of Bahrain was sixth with 1717.


Rickle Kam advancing in third position in the semi-final

Tseng hung on to 11th position to make the cut with 1657. Basel Al Anzi of Kuwait missed the cut by 10 pins. The 12th position reserved for a Saudi went to Prince Abdulhakim Al Saud on 1657. Joshua Chow, who was also in the semi-finals, failed to progress ending up in 21st position.

The top 11 together with the top Saudi will be joined by the top four seeded qualifiers from Round 1 for another eight games in the Finals from scratch. Perfect gamer, Wu Siu Hong amd Lau Kwun Ho will be competing as the top and third qualifiers of Round 1.

The top five will advance to the Stepladder TV Shootout finals. The first match will be between third, fourth and fifth-seeds. The winner will meet the second seed over one game in the second match.

The winner in the second match will earn a crack at the title against the top seed on a beat-twice format to decide the champion.
