ABF Tour - Egypt 2015
Convincing victory for Kuwaiti

1st May, Cairo: 2013 Kuwait leg first runner-up, Mohannad Ebrahim of Kuwait took a convincing victory over Ayman Hashem of Egypt, 217-145 to capture his first-ever title in the ABF Tour Egypt 2015 on Friday.

A nervous start from Mohannad saw the Kuwaiti stumbling to a seven-pin split in his opening frame while his opponent doubled in his first two frames. But the 22-year-old Kuwaiti national team member bounced back with three strikes-in-a-row.

Ayman also stumbled to a big-five split in the third frame and subsequently trailed Mohannad by 10 pins at the halfway point of the match.

Although the Egyptian recovered with another double strike in the fifth and sixth frames, Ayman again encountered a similar big-five split in the seventh frame as Mohannad went on a strikefest reeling in five-in-a-row.

More splits from Ayman sealed his faith and Mohannad went on to cruise to a comfortable victory. Mohannad advanced to the final after he narrowly beat Ayad Al Ameeri, 232-220 in the first all-Kuwaiti semi-final match.
