22nd August, Bangkok: Hong Kong national bowlers competing at the 2014 PBA-WBT #12 World Bowling Tour Thailand were making good progress as Wu Siu Hong and Michael Mak qualified for Round 2 finals at Blu-O Paragon Bowling Centre.

Wu registered 3-game series of 697, 658 and 657 for a 9-game aggregate of 2012 placing him in 28th position. Mak, who finished as second runner-up here last year and was unlucky to settle for first runner-up in the 2013 PBA-WBT 7th Saudi Open, knocked down 689, 667 and 651 for a total of 2007 for 29th position.

Wu and Mak will be making further attempts on the final day of qualifying in an effort to move into the second bracket to earn a crucial bye and skip Round 2 for Round 3 finals.

Wicky Yeung showed promise when he rolled a superb 727 series but could not raise his game further with 627 and 602 for a total of 1956 which put him 46th in the standings. Any improvement on his two lower series will easily move Yeung into the finals.
