Introduction


The 2018 World Men Championships is hosted in Hong Kong, China at the 40-lanes SCAA Bowling Centre in Hong Kong from November 23 to December 5, 2018. The Event is funded by the Major Sports Events Committee under the Sports Commission of the HKSAR Government. The Championships was awarded the "M" Mark and the Brand Hong Kong logo. In conjunction with the Championships, Hong Kong Tenpin Bowling Congress and Hong Kong Sports Institute will co-organize the 2018 World Bowling Coaching Conference on November 20 and 21 at the Hong Kong Sports Institute Complex in Shatin.

Hong Kong is situated on the southeast coast of China at the mouth of the Pearl River facing the South China Sea. Covering an area of 1,104 square kilometres (425 square miles). It comprises Hong Kong Island, Kowloon and the New Territories, which includes 262 outlying islands.

At the core is Victoria Harbour, which separates Hong Kong Island from Kowloon and beyond that, the New Territories that runs up to the boundary with Mainland China. As well as making up the bulk of Hong Kong's land mass, the New Territories also incorporates 262 outlying islands, including Lantau where the Hong Kong International Airport is located.
