Dr. Tse earned a PhD from the University of Hong Kong, a MBA from the University of Leicester, and a B.Sc. degree from the University of New Hampshire. Dr. Tse oversees the development of HKU sports teams and athletes, and has played a major role in raising the awareness of exercise and wellness at HKU.

In 2008 he established the Active Health Clinic, which today, with the dedication of a team of exercise physiologists/specialists, has grown into a very successful and unique exercise clinic that incorporates "exercise medicine" as a prime intervention tool to enhance well-being and help combat chronic inactivity related diseases.

Dr. Tse also has over 20 years of experience in high performance sport, training Hong Kong’s elite athletes for over a decade during his stint at the Hong Kong Sports Institute where he was Head Strength and Conditioning Coach and manager of the strength and conditioning department.

In addition to supporting Hong Kong elite athletes, Dr. Tse himself was a member of the Hong Kong National Rowing team from 1993 to 1999.

As the top-ranked single-sculler during that time, a few career highlights included qualification for the Olympic Games in Atlanta (1996), making the finals of the 1994 and 1998 Asian Games, and being a two-time silver medalist at the Asian Rowing Championships (1995, 1997).

Dr. Tse continues to support the development of sport in Hong Kong through various roles as member of the Major Sports Events Committee of the Home Affairs Bureau, Athlete’s Committee of the Sports Federation & Olympic Committee, High Performance Sub-committee of the Hong Kong Triathlon Association and Steward of the Hong Kong China Rowing Association. He is also a member of the Advisory Board of Exercise is Medicine Hong Kong and honorary advisor of the Hong Kong Society for Rehabilitation. Dr. Tse currently serves as a Member of the Board of Directors, HKSI.

Dr. Tse will be moderating Topic 3 Presentation 6: Strength and Conditioning for Youth and Seniors and Presentation 7: Needs Analysis In Bowling and Its Implication In Strength and Conditioning Training.
